SlackSeat: Solo Canoe Seat

$169.00
Sold Out

Prices are in CAD

SlackSeat allows the solo paddler to kneel comfortably in the canoe while maintaining a low centre of gravity. The adjustable cam buckle system allows for natural shifts in paddling positions, so you can paddle the way you want, without sacrificing your knees and ankles.

Sit in the middle of the canoe for stability, or heel it over so the gunnels touch the water–the choice is yours.

  • Comfortable

  • Adjustable

  • Portable

  • Made in Canada

  • Stainless steel & aluminum hardware

  • UV and mildew-resistant materials

Canoe seats and kneeling thwarts typically force the solo paddler to stick to one position, the center of gravity needs to be higher than is ideal, and they’re usually installed with nuts and bolts and unsettling drilling noises (i.e. permanent changes).

SlackSeat’s universal gunnel grips mean you don’t have to make any permanent changes to your canoe.

Doubles as a third seat for the kids!

Be careful! When you sit on SlackSeat, it produces inward pressure on the hull of the canoe. SlackSeat should be used close to a yoke or thwart in order to compensate for this inward pull, and it’s up to you to decide whether or not your specific canoe can handle the inward pressure of your weight.
